Limpsfield is now powering Wembley Stadium
With 90,000 seats, Wembley Stadium in South London is the largest stadium in the UK and the second-largest stadium in Europe. Among many other events, it hosts home matches of the England National Football Team and the FA Cup Final.
Earlier this year in a product upgrade for the entire plant room, our U.K. Tech Centre installed two of five high-efficiency Limpsfield LCN 53 burners at Wembley, replacing x2 Riello burners that were at the end of their lifecycle, with x2 Riello and x1 Nu-way burner to be replaced later this year.
The current equipment did not meet the critical nature of the site’s heating demands, while also experiencing extended downtime periods due to unavailable, high-cost spares required.
With the upgrade, Limpsfield has exponentially increased operational boiler functionality, whilst meeting vital stadium heating demands. Our products are 99% manufactured in-house, so our U.K. Tech Centre has quick access to spares and can assist immediately to limit downtime and associated costs. All the while, the combination of Limpsfield burners with Autoflame controls gave the client maximum combustion efficiency with reduced fuel costs and emissions.
